Argos

I am a fan of Argos. They are a catalogue store that sells everything from bicycles to jewellery at affordable prices.

The store can get very busy and around Christmas it can be frustrating when they run out of products you really want.

Their return system is simple. If you haven't unpacked the product you can bring it back and get a full monetary refund. If you've unpacked the goods and it cannot be returned in EXACTLY the same order you can get an exchange.

Argos is a very useful store that often has things you'd have difficulty finding elsewhere. My tip is order online, reserve and pick up in-store. You can sometimes get cheaper deals.

Argos is a great place to come for all your household needs. The great thing about Argos is you can look at their products on-line or in their catalogue and check the availability of a product before you even go to the store thus saving a lot of time. You can also order on line and arrange for store pick up or home delivery. I usually don't have the patience to wait for something to be delivered so I go to the store.

This branch in Camden is always busy, but the staff are courteous and efficient. Located half way between Camden town station and Mornington Crescent.

This is my local Argos...you can't go wrong with an Argos can you! This one always has lots of staff on hand to help and at the tills so there's never really much of a queue to pay even on a busy Camden Saturday. I love how I can come and pick my Ebay purchases up from here too now. The only downside is there's not much seating to wait in the collection area but as the queues seem to go down quickly there's usually never much of a wait here.

Ya can't really complain too much about Argos. Sure daddy wants an organic, free-range, fair trade coffee table, but I'll happily settle for a functional one for 30 quid. I've found Argos to be very efficient AND surprisingly affordable when it comes to setting up a household here in London. Plus, many of the locations are near tube stations so you can throw your boxes around during a packed rush hour.

To borrow an old interwebs term, Argos is a WYSIWYG kind of store...you know, minus the seeing before getting part. If you you have a household need and you don't want to drop a ton of cash Argos is the place to go.

Argos saved us. Just moving the London we need tons of little things for our flat that we got almost all of at Argos. Great prices, friendly staff. Argos is perfect for bedding, kitchen accessories, and that kind of thing. Stop isn't too far from the tube.

We don't have anything like Argos in the states, but we should. The lack of overhead costs can lead to lower prices. It is nice to be able to see the exact product before you buy it, but if any problems it's fairly easy to return things.

Thank God for Argos! When my adapter/converter plug brought from home appeared to be the wrong one *EUROPE, Argos came to the rescue. They have a gazillion items from jewelry to house electronics- all available through- get this....a catalogue that you peruse through in the store. None of the items are on display and you search through this thousand page catalogue and simply write in the item(s) you want on a little scratch of paper. You pay for it and their cashiers hand off your order to sales associates, once your items are located by their sales associates, you're number is called and you pick up your selected items at a counter. It's like no fuss, no muss. That's my kind of store. Plus right now they have 1/2 off sales!
