Bottom Line: All night fun!
My girlfriend and I had a blast at this club! There are two levels both with bars and played rock pop on the first floor and hip hop / EDM on the second level. This place was cracking all night. I think the average age for this place was mid-twenties. There is some room for chilling and sipping on your drink but it's so loud don't expect to have much a of conversation; this place is for dancing.
Overall the club is not too dark; there are lots of strobes and such. There is also a shop on the second floor that has some cool merchandise. This place had a good vibe. We figured it was time to leave when we saw people being carried out (barely coherent) and passing out while standing! Drinks at the bar were pretty easy to get and tasted on par for an average club.
Tips for tourists (from a tourist): Cariocas (residents of Rio) go out later. Don't arrive earlier than 10 or 11 and expect to stay at least until 3. I think like many other places, you pay at the end of night when you leave so DON'T LOSE YOUR DRINK CARD or else they will charge you a lot of money! For comparison, it works like a dim sum restaurant if that helps.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 2015年3月8日
First night out with our Brazilian friends! Great place to see the nightlife. We showed up just before 11:30 so women get in free ($40R regular at the door, and $15R off if you buy in advanced). They also get a cup of champagne, not a bad deal. Last night it was I love rock and roll theme and they played all the great hits from the 90's which was a lot of fun.
Upstairs was less crowded with indie and rock Pop, which wasn't as popular. There are some couches to rest if you need a break. Plenty of cozy corners for people to make out, though that didn't stop people from using the dance floor.
The drinks ran from the cheapest beer, Antarctica ($8R) and other domestic bottles for a few more reais. Other imports, like Guinness and delirium tremens ran $30R. They had a big selection of mixed drinks, the mate caribe (mate, Malibu, vodka) was super easy to drink as well as the standard Cuba libre ($28R). All of which you pay according to the drink card they give you when you enter (don't lose that because it's your ticket out!) and pay at the counter before you leave.
I was surprised that the two stall woman's bathroom didn't have too long of a wait and though it ran out of toilet paper there was still hand soap and paper towels left.
We were lucky to grab the taxi that was waiting outside so it was easy for us. Don't know if they always have one waiting but they should with lei secaHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
