Cineworld

The Cineworld cinema in Burton is situated in a large complex off Guild Street, that also includes Mecca Bingo and Frankie and Bennys, amongst others. The large car park requires you to take a ticket and then pay as you leave at the pay booths; the price skyrocketing to £5 after two hours! However,the cinema gives you a ticket that gives you four free hours or if you go in the evening, the car park is free.


The cinema itself has an impressive glass fronted opening into a foyer area, with a wall a televisions showing film previews and music videos. There is also an entertainment area and machine where you can pay for and collect your prepaid cinema tickets. This cinema is always busy, especially at night and absolutely packed on 'Orange Wednesdays'! Prices are a little on the expensive side, but the screens themselves are air conditioned, spacious and have very comfortable seats. The Deluxe cinema with slightly more expensive tickets even has a small bar! As usual as in any cinema, the refreshments - popcorn, hot dogs, soft drinks etc. are ridiculously expensive, the advantage of a captive audience! Overall great for watching the local blockbusters, but a little on the pricey side

Cineworld is a very friendly cinema to go to, the staff there are always chatty and join in with me and my friends when we're having silly conversations.


The car park is big (attached to 2 big stores also) and there is always somewhere to park.


There's an arcade inside if you show up early to ensure you get tickets or if you want to hang around with your friends after.


Also the staff will be there to help you out if there is somebody in there ruining the film. Once there were some kids throwing things around so we went to get a member of staff who stood in the room watching the kids so they wouldn't do it again.


It is very well air conditioned though so make sure you take a jacket!

Cineworld has improved recently but for me the screens in general are too small compared to other cinemas in the area. If there is a popular film on you feel like you are sitting on top on someone else and there is no leg room. The refreshments are good although you have to queue for ages and it is very expensive for a family so we only tend to go once or twice a year. The staff are helpful and quite knowledgable about the films. The car park is excellent and you can always park, the cash machine outside is also a bonus.

Last few times i have been it has been cold. Think its a shame you can no longer take your own sweets ect, makes it an expensive night out when you take kids and its dear enough to get in!!They do have a cheap night on a tuesday and you can upgrade your seats for the deluxe seats which ithink is well worth doing as you feel more like your having a select night out.The styaff are very helpful though and you can pre book your seats.

Fantastic cinema, nice & clean and friendly staff. Quite expensive cinema tickets, food & drink. They have booster seats for younger children which I found good for my daughter. Have always enjoyed myself everytime I have watched a film there.

This is quite a big cinema for Burton On Trent. The prices can be quite expensive but even more the food is very very expensive. There are normally herendous queues to get food especially if it is a premier movie. The staff are friendly enough and the toilets are very clean. The auditoriums are very comfortable and clean.

Great cinema. Clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. Comfy seats with cup holders. Great facilties for familes - ie boosters seats for the little ones, an excellent place for entertaining the kids on schools breaks.


Easy to book tickets online and collect in the foyer.


Easy to find with lots of FREE parking (just remember to get your car park voucher before leaving the cinema) Great places to eat near by.


A good value for money night (or day) out.

this is a great cinema. the staff are always helpfull. the cinema screens are always clean and tidy. they have a membership on offer for £11.99 a month that allows you to watch as many fils as you want in the month. this is great value for money and is worth buying.
the cinema is in a great location and offers a great choice of films.
