Cineworld

This isn't my local Cineworld, but I went here as the Harlow one wasn't showing the film I wanted to see, and I'm glad that I did. It's a pretty big cinema, with 16 screens. We were in screen 12 and I was really impressed. The seats are big and comfortable and have LOADS of legroom. We sat in some that were the first row in the second tier up and central in the cinema. Not only was it the perfect angle to view the screen from it was completely unobscured too. There was also a handy metal railing in front that you could rest your feet on!


The sound was good and loud, the screen clear and bright, the popcorn crunchy and sweet, and the whole place was pretty clean and well air conditioned. All that you could want from a cinema really.

Huge cinema with many many screens. Don't worry about going to the wrong screen as the employees will point you in the right direction if you ask.


Their public toilets are spacious and clean a surprise in a cinema that gets so busy.


They also sell a variety of hot and cold snacks including nachos and ice cream, and something I recently noted was that they now sell coffee what a nice change from the usual water and fizzy drinks.


The screens are a good size and the seats are fairly comfortable, and the walls are thick enough between screens that you cannot hear the film being played in the next screen.

This is a good cinema. You can usually find what you want to watch at a time you want to watch it.
It is worth booking in advance (55p per ticket!) to make sure you get a spot for the recent films.
The only critisism would be the cost of the drinks and popcorn. These are astronomical and not worth the cost. But they don't let you take your own in.

Cineworld is a large multi-screen cinema with a very good variety of films showing throughout the day. However, sometimes the sheer quantity of films showing means that the screens are not as clean as you might like - often still with spilt popcorn on the floor, and sweets wrappers littering the isles.


However, it does mean that if you fancy a day trip to the cinema, you may well be one of only a handful of people watching the same film, making it feel more exclusive.


Only venture here on the weekend if you feel prepared to face swarms of excitable children being very noisy and often badly behaved. I have seen several films here on the weekend, only to be disturbed by teenagers who talk loudly, or children who can't sit still for 20 minutes.


Relatively cheap prices - check their website for their cheap day, and a very good variety of films, so you can't really complain.

Pros The cinema is located at Stevenage Leisure Park, which is great because there's lots of bars and restaurants nearby to make a night of a trip to the cinema. The cinema is quite large- 14 screens- and the rooms aren't particularly big, so you're never too far away from the screen. The seats are really comfortable and there's a decent amount of legroom.
There are often deals available to make the cinema ticket cheaper, as well as Bargain Tuesday when tickets are super cheap.


Cons The ticket checker wanted to look in my bag, which I thought was a bit rude! The food prices are really expensive, so I suppose he thought I was sneaking in snacks, but I think if they're going to rip people off then that should be the risk they take.

I come here regularly, with friend and with my chikdren. It is your typical multi screen cinema. It is very comfortable and shows a good selection of films. However, it is not cheap. I tend to limit my visits to Wednesdays (Orange 2 for 1 tickets) or take the kids to the Saturday morning pictures. This is excellent value at a pound each. It is best to book the tickets in advance for Saturday, as they can sell out quite quickly. A word of warning the drinks and popcorn require the taking out of a second mortgage.

Been here alot, never had any problems. Typical cinema. Quite large, clean. Big selection of movies to pick from. Although the food and drink is expensive. (Sneak your own in!)

I love the place it's great, I go there almost every Saturday to see a film with my friends and family and always have delicious food to snack on! Hygiene is just a small problem for me but I'm a bit OCD so it's probably not that big of a problem

If you sign up for the cineworld "unlimited" card and don't buy food there, this cinema is excellent value for money. Unlimited gives you any film, any time. Be aware though that if the film is in 3D (as increasingly they are), you will be charged extra for the privelidge and also have to buy 3D glasses. They will let you leep them though and use them again next time saving yourself about 80p! Good cross section of movies including world cinema, bollywood and saturday childrens club. Also, all the latest releases of course. Tuesday night is cheap night but might be queues.

i come here quite a lot the staff arent always very helpful though, and once there was sound missing and they wouldnt reply the film so i missed half of it:( the other experiences however have been rather good!
