El Corte Inglés

Fabulous department store in the centre of Valencia. This is a famous chain in Spain and the selection of merchandise is great, I spent an hour alone in the perfume hall.


However special mention has to be made to the restaurant on the top floor. I was in Valencia on a day trip and our fantastic tour guide had recommended this as the place to go for lunch. I was a bit dubious but I quickly changed my mind when I sampled my lovely gambas salad. The choice of food was huge and the quality extremely high. The place was packed, mostly with locals, which backs up my opinion I think.


There was a good view of the city rooftops from my seat and this set me up for the rest of my time in the beautiful city of Valencia.
