Handmade Burger

I can't lie, handmade burger co has served me one of the best chicken and bacon burgers I think I've ever tasted. Genuinely! It was piping hot, the chicken succulent and juicy and a decent size with the bacon not fatty at all! I asked for some fried onions to go in the burger as in extra and boy was that a good choice! It made the burger even juicier! There was cheese and BBQ sauce and hot sauce going on - just OMG! It's a shame it's in Newcastle - I need to fine one in London!
My only chagrin was the hipster fries - I don't know how coleslaw dumped on top of a portion of fries constitutes it being hipster but hey ho! They were nice, I was just soooooo full from the burger and the peanut butter shake!
Will definitely be trying to see if this place exists somewhere in London!

We went around 4.30PM which is kind of an in-between period and found the place quiet and peaceful.

We ordered peanut butter milkshake for me and oreo milk shake for my wife. I had the moroccan lamb burger and my wife went for the falafel. We also got a portion of peri peri chips and cajun onion rings.

The staff attending us were very polite and friendly. They were relaxed and took the time to answer our questions and presented us with alternative options, which was a nice thing.

The milkshakes were rich and very tasteful. The lamb burger was done very well and the accompanimients that went into the bun complemented the patty very well. It was an optimum blend of the correct ingredients coming together that leaves you with a good taste and a satisfied tummy. The peri peri chips were massive and we could not finish the bowl. The onion rings were a bit too greasy and soggy. So we won't be ordering them next time.

Overall, based on this experience, I would go back.

I sincerely hope they continue to maintain these levels of taste, quality and service in a highly competitive and cut-throat market, where innovation and excellence are key to success.

This place is just delicious, we got so many sides with our burger we filled a table for 6 with just the three of us. The price is not too pricey and even better if you work for the NHS, they do the 20% off thing :)

Lovely location on the waterfront and nice big open space.

Staff were really friendly and happy to take drink orders frim the table even though they are one of the fast food style places that you order at the bar.

Huge variety of burger options (more than Gourmet Burger Kitchen) and masses for vegetarians. You can pretty much make your own burger as they are really flexible on taking things out and adding bits in.

Worth a visit.

Great quality food. Been here a lot and is my favourite restaurant in the area. They have a great selection of beef burgers and also offer chicken burgers as an alternative. Their chips are delicious and they offer a range of chips with different toppings. They have a decent selection of puddings. They also offer a 15% discount (and 30% after 3 PM on Mondays) to students which is great. Service is also fairly quick although it obviously varies depending on what time it is and what day you came in on.

Last time I was here I got the Hot chilli burger with the Mexican chips. Both had a good heat to them chili-wise and the burger was juicy. I had the Strawberry Cheesecake sundae. While not a big fan of ice cream usually, I gave it a try and loved it. All in all I love the restaurant and will probably continue coming.

A burger for dinner before the cinema. I will have to admit I was a little sceptical about quality and price being on the main drag. Quality was excellent and note to self the side dishes are pretty big and combined with an impressive burger an all round good meal. Other than a welcome and sitting by the staff we saw little of them. And why is everyone going down the route of making customers going to a counter to order and pay??? Well worth a visit.

I have eaten here many times. I recently came back to Lincoln after a 3 year break. I thought I would go in and see how things had changed. Not for the better, I assure you. I went in on a Tuesday, and on the following Wednesday. On both days, there was only 1 server working, and it took (20 to 25 minutes) forever to just place my order, and another 20 or 25 minutes to get my food. On Wednesday, I sat there for 15 or 20 minutes, waiting to place my order while the waitress on shift walked around my table several times. She helped everyone in the restaurant but me. The last straw was when she seated a couple after she seated me, got their drinks, and started taking their order, while basically ignoring me. I am very disappointed in the service at this restaurant. I often stay at one of the hotels on Brayford Wharf, and I ate here everyday in both 2013 and in 2015, but it seems that times have changed at the Handmade Burger. I am so disappointed.
