A set menu of two or three courses is available lunchtimes and gave half a dozen choices of starters and mains including locally sourced foods. I opted for the chicken caesar salad to start and medallions of Welsh rump steak in red wine sauce as a main, the chicken caesar salad was the best I've ever tasted and came with a fresh anchovy which gave flavour without overpowering the salad. The Welsh rump medallions came on top of large homecooked chips and accompanied by fresh vegetables-a selection of cauliflower, broccoli, carrots etc and again was absolutely delicious. There was just enough room to fit dessert and I had the blueberry cheesecake, homemade as all the desserts are and again top quality.
The only downside of Hurrens is the limit of parking as it is out of town,so to speak, it does not have many nearby parking spaces.

The main eating area is basically a converted living room which is not to my liking. I have heard good things about the lunchtime menu but will never go again in the evening.
