Stopped by here to chill for a few hours before checking into our airbnb a few minutes away. It was hard to communicate with the workers, but Google Translate was super helpful haha. We had tea (3 euros) and the charcuterie plate (10 euros) which were delicious. My friend also liked the cafe au lait here and they were friendly with and even gave us free french fries! The workers were super nice even though we had a communication barrier - definitely worth stopping by to chill if you have free time.

This is a solid neighborhood joint that we really enjoyed. It was a short walk from the B&B we stayed at and we visited a couple of times. It is definitely a locals spot so limited English is spoken. No english menu. Know some basic French food words or have a translator app ready to know what you're reading/ordering.

Wine pricing is by the glass, two glasses, 4 glasses (bottle) and the last price is a bit more than that (6-8?).

Silly us, Americans used to paying so much for a glass, we thought the first price (most were about 2-4 euros) was a half glass and the next size (4-7euros) was a full glass. Nope. Full glass and double that respectively. Hello, Paris. They even have "wines of the moment" that are still in the barrel and are tapped. Try one.

Food was yummy all around - we tried a quiche, veggie lasagna, chicken w/citrus sauce and something else I can't remember now. Prices are great and there are usually dishes of the week as well. Menus are brought around to you on a small blackboard. They also have a full bar and this seemed to be the place to hangout after hours. They are opened til 2am every day and open early for breakfast/brunch.

Cool neighborhood bistro. My travel buddy and I were staying in a B&B flat nearby and were encouraged by the solid 4-star rating...that, and the fact that by the time we got into said flat on our first day, we hadn't had a meal in 12 hours and were starving. As another Yelper pointed out, this is definitely a place for locals, so everything is en Français. There was a waitress who spoke fluent English, so she was sent over to get our order (which is not uncommon in Paris, I later realized. Your actual waitress/waiter may be some one else!), and she was very patient with us and our questions about the food. In fact, so was one of the locals who was sitting at the table next to us. She did her best to describe the menu board in her limited English, and actually apologized to us for not speaking it better! I didn't get much view of the interior, as we sat on the terrace, but it seemed like a convivial enough place with a full bar and every seat occupied well into the late evening. I opted for the quiche a la maison, aka house quiche, which was this delicious salmon and broccoli. I was not disappointed with my first dinner in Paris, and would recommend this spot to anyone staying in the 20th arrondissement who wants to dine with the locals.

House quiche, salmon and broccoli. Excellent!!

We had dinner here following a day-long music jam with about 15 musicians as well as family and friends. The staff at the restaurant, from the initial phone call to the welcome to the wonderful waitress, were all welcoming and friendly, helpful and professional. We had the downstairs room to ourselves, which allowed us to converse easily and stash a couple of guitars. The food was good and plentiful.
We had such a good evening that we are planning to return after our next jam in September!

If I could have brunch in only one place in all of Paris, I would choose L'Entrepots. The staff are adorable. Everything on the blackboard that they bring around is delicious. Finish the meal with a Gourmand. You won't regret it. Afterwards, you could walk over to Pere Lechaise and kiss Oscar Wilde.

An old haunt of Edith Piaf and Charles Trenet, the Entrepot is by far the most popular spot on busy Rue Sorbier. The decor is a little 2000-and-late, and it offers the same food menu as pretty much every tired-out Paris bistro, but this place is always full of locals and is damn good value for money. Nicely situated terrace on the brink of steep, colourful, if very noisy rue Menilmontant.

Nice lively and local place with good and cheap food (plat du jour €10). Service is usually good (and does occasionally speak English), although often quite busy due to the popularity of the place.
Nothing truly remarkable other than it represents a good and genuine French cafe/restaurant.
