If you want to go to a place in Paris where actual French people hang out, this is it. If you don't speak French, you should learn some, because no one is going to switch to English for you.
The food and drinks were good, and inexpensive. We were hoping to catch a show there, but it turns out the live music only happens in the summer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jen K.コペンハーゲン, デンマーク19552015年3月16日
You need to make reservations or you probably won't be seated. You need to make them in French and someone in your party needs to speak French or you won't be understood. Well, they are nice enough that they would try to help you but they just don't speak much if any English here (I've never tried but I have also never ever seen anglophones in here either).
It will be worth it, I promise. This is pretty much my favorite place in Paris. It's one of the most delightfully French experiences I have ever had and it's consistently good, to (I've been several times). The prix fixe dinners are amazing. They typically feature traditional French fare with flare. Most memorable is the nid d'ange but it's all good.
Also, you get a show too. Sometimes it's traditional French chansons but sometimes it's bizarre avante garde Frenchness. It's ALWAYS amazing. I just love this place so deeply. In fact, writing this review has just convinced me that a springtime weekend trip to Paris is on the menu and this will be the first destination. Love Le Limonaire.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2015年9月27日
Absolutely loved it! Had the Terrine de Ma and the pork with mustard sauce (sorry don't remember the French name). Our server was cute trying to translate the menu. There was music around nine and it was very nice. True Paris experience! Loved it!

This was my experience. I enjoyed it. You may not enjoy it.
We arrived and were seated by the bathroom. Seating is tight. People had to squeeze between me and the person at the table behind me to get to the bathroom. It's a good thing I'm thin and was willing to suck in to the table.
The wine selection was nice and the pricing was good.
The food was fantastic. We had the cheese plate, pate, a calamari dish, and desert.
At around 10 PM, a musical comedy group took the stage.
It was a crazy experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katie C.Perth, オーストラリア062012年5月21日
Came across this little bar on our way back to our hotel and it was the first time we felt we experienced the "real Paris". Locals at the mic and behind the bar made our evening the most memorable in Paris.
