Have you ever seen a dish come out and it was so pretty you couldn't eat it, but it was so savory looking you just had to? Welcome to Les Grandes Tables! We walked here from our stay and once we meandered through the complex we found this mass of grand tables (thus the name) and courtyard. We were early, but we got drinks and they kindly served us bread and a olive pâté that was so clean and fresh. The service was kind and quick and, boy, did the tables fill up fast once the kitchen opened. Our meals were so fresh, clean and pure in flavor that I ate every piece of my dish as did my friends. I would easily come back here and bring my laptop to work. Perfect space for meeting friends, business partners or going alone.

Now that this business has split the original business in two, I'm due an update.
If you want the casual, bring-your-own-food or cheap and fast takeaway options I mentioned in my earlier review, you'll want to head next door to the bookstore cafe (http://www.yelp.com/biz/la-salle-des-machines-marseille-2).
This big space is still good for the group sit down lunch, however! It serves a variety of hot and cold entree sized portions priced at about 10-15 euros each. Moreover, you can have a sit-down lunch with 10-15 people and pay individually, or all together.
I can also report that in winter they seem willing to foot the extra heating bill to keep this space nice and toasty!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 02014年11月5日以前のレビューGreat spot to have near your office for lunch, especially if you're only going to have one option! (Which several of the very large office complexes nearby do: just this option.) Sure. It may not be the best food you have in your life, but it is pretty darn good and they accommodate a huge range of pricepoints, any group configuration, and a variety of food preferences.
Choose your own lunch adventure below:
+You're a big group and you want a server to serve you. No problem, they'll seat you and serve you a fuller meal. Changing menu includes a range of plated entrees, the day I went, some of the choices included a chicken caesar salad, beef tartare and a house burger.
+You're a big group and everyone is paying on their own. No problem, walk up to the sandwich stand and choose your sandwich (of which there are 5-6 pretty delicious types) and side salads/desserts. Casual outdoor seating on the patio.
+You're by yourself and need a quick lunch. No problem, grab one of the sandwiches and take it wherever!
+You need just a coffee (or maybe a beer?). No problem, walk up to the bar and order it - they'll serve you right away and charge you there.
+You want to eat outside. No problem. Plenty of seats.
+You want to eat inside. No problem. Plenty of seats.
If you're electing for the "fast" sandwich option you should get there before 12:15. They sell out of some sandwich types!
