A Frightening Experience.....
I go to Lidl because I usually save around £5 on a shop compared to the other major popular supermarkets but today I have changed my mind on going there especially Ilford branch.
Customers were arguing with till workers, there were only 2 tills open and the 2 queues behind this were very long at least 10 people with trollies full of shopping on each queue, hence the till workers were overwhelmed. Some customers were shouting from the queue asking for more tills to be opened. The till workers were shouting back saying they can't. The store workers were also arguing with customers for some reason. One intimidating customer was angry because he was delayed in being served because he did not have a trolley. He looked like he was going to start a fight. Anyway when i got to my turn I noticed the till worker was literally throwing the packets of food across the scanner, I watched I asked her at the end that its not a good idea to throw the packets as customers would get upset and the food in my case fish fingers can get broken. Immediately a colleague who had just finished arguing with another customer came forward and said we haven't got time for this and that I should get accustomed to shopping the Lidl way. He didn't he know that I have been shopping at Lidl for some time. Some shoppers had children and they and their mothers looked really scared.
Is it really worth experiencing this to save a £5??Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
