Lisbon City Hotel

The hotel is nice and clean, the service at the front desk was also good and spoke English. The rooms were a topical European style or big enough for the beds only. The shower was really small and narrow. The location was close to the metro station. Over all this hotel is OK.

Good hotel for the price we paid to stay 5 nights. Hotel staff were very friendly and helped us make reservations for restaurants and held our luggage before check in. The room was a fine size for one couple, wifi service was good on the 5th floor although street side with balcony was slightly noisy at night.
The breakfast was dull so we found ourselves at a place called Brick Cafe just a short walk away for almost all of our morning meals. It is certainly in a seedy neighborhood with a number of loiterers and/or homeless people but they do not gather in front of the hotel. Only 1-2 people seemed to bother us while walking so mostly these people kept to themselves.
The hotel is between two metro stops so it's quite easy to get around town and the 28 trolley picks up a couple blocks away.
I'm hesitant to give 4 stars as I wouldn't recommend this hotel to everyone I know. But if you keep your wits about yourself and all you need is a safe hotel to sleep in, this is your place.
