I still can't get over it..,the 90's are actually considered a retro year. I swear it still feels as though I was still living in it. With that said they had 90's vintage toys as well as some new ones. The top floor had all the vintage items. There were some items that were a pleasant flash back. Everything was understandably behind glass and well organized by character. I did adopt some vintage My Little Pony stickers. Customer service was super friendly and sociable and prices were respectable.

If you're into reviving your childhood memories then this place is perfect. For the geeky and the nostalgic Mimi Fifi offers little collectible toy figurines, old books and annuals, badges, cups, lunch boxes and pretty much anything else you can think of from your childhood days. And if you are looking for something in particular that they don't have they'll do their best to track one down. The prices vary from item to item depending on how collectible it is but even if your not looking to buy it can be quite a funny experience that takes you back to days of innocence.

Today I visited the shop and found an item in the shop window that looked like a perfect gift. Inside I was faced by the fact that the exact product that I spotted was available only in a different shade. Asked the shop assistant to remove the item from the window and replace it with the one in stock so that I can purchase the perfect shade. She denied my request in an awful manner, claiming that I am the 2nd customer today to bother her with a similar request....and she cannot remove anything from the window display. I tried to persuade her that it would be important for me, them being a small private shop should mean they are flexible....and all in all I suppose all products in the shop are for sale.....But she became more and more furious.....very bad employee, zero customer service. The shop has a great location, but apparently lousy management. Avoid it. It is not worth the effort!

If you have a heart and any sentiment, this is a nice place to drop into.
They have small and cherishable collectables for all age groups, whether your era is Rupert The Bear, The Smurfs or Peppa Pig. Most things are under £5 so it is an easily manageable delight if someone does have meaning for you.
Most of all though was their kindness and tolerance towards the very young children doing what they do.
      A beautiful soothing place.

If you grew up in the eighties and nineties or if you are a young hipster that had no connection with these toys but want to appear cool this is the place for you. The store has an odd vibe mainly due to the staff who I presume are the owners. Maybe they are just put off with all of the tourists they see all day long...but for gods sake if you work at a toy shop carrying collectors memorabilia you need to expect to see excited, happy patrons and share their enthusiasm. By the way, there are no photos of the inside because you aren't allowed to take photos...I didn't notice the sign and was about to take a photo but was stopped by the unexpected loudspeaker announcement "No photos!"...They are watching you.

Mimififi is a toy shop which specialises in collectible and vintage items. It's in the heart of Notting Hill and is often quite busy for a small-ish shop. There's lots to look at as well as traditional toys they sell annuals, books, badges, stickers, glass, ceramics, and cool pieces like lunch boxes, and occasional pieces of clothing. Due to the nature of their pieces, their stock changes frequently. Great for a trip down memory lane.
