Hotel NH Berlin Kurfürstendamm

Well located and in good decorative order ... but it has an Achilles Heel ... problems with comfortable room temperatures if the ambient is higher than seasonal expectation.

Reason: they advertise "air conditionlng" (implied 3 or 4 pipe, dual mode) but actually only have "seasonal cooling" (2 pipe, single mode). What is it about segments of the hospitality industry that finds simple honesty so difficult? :-(

The upshot of this is that on warmer-than-seasonal-average days where ambient has raised room temperature, no cooling is available.

Fortunately, unlike some properties, this hotel does have opening windows, and provided you face the inner courtyard doing so can produce cooling without collateral damage of exterior noise.

Perfect is every respect. Great neighborhood, lots of good restaurants and bars, very chic shops. Excellent front desk staff, helpful, knowledgeable. Nice room, good size, well furnished. Refrigerator & coffee stuff a big plus. Small bathroom, be careful. Great breakfast, so many choices, even make it yourself waffles! Best price on NH website.

great location between Kudamm and Savignyplatz, undergroundtrain within 5 minutes walk.
Great shopping area.
Room was spacious and clean; reception staff were really helpful and the hotel has a bar area.
There are lots of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Price was competitive also.

I like this hotel very much ... very cental, not expensive , offers a very decent service. Although it's not a 5 stars hotel, it is very suitable for business meetings.
