Oceans Bar Pier Head

My wife and I did quite a bit of our 'courting' here. It's a great place to go on a pleasant summer evening, just sit outside and watch the world go by and watch the fishermen failing to catch any fish. They sometimes have entertainment in the evenings on the outdoor 'stage'. This tends to be of the pub singer variety but somehow that fits the bill here.


It's not a place to go to on a nasty day. I think they will close if it's too quiet and I'm pretty sure that they close down for the Winter so if the weather is bad you may be wasting your time going there.


The bar is located at the far end of the pier and is next door to the deck arcade and opposite the cafe.


This isn't the sort of place you pop to for a quick half, it's 2,295 feet from the shore, but it's worth the trek.

I echo what has been said previously. Its a great pier and its great to be able to get a drink at the end before the walk back. I remember wincing at the barman when he told me how much my round was and he said well the next pint is 20 mins that way sir - good point well made so I paid up! No real ale of course just smoothpour or lager, but on a nice day I do enjoy a pint of export.

Great place to enjoy a chilled beer on a hot Summers day (not so great on a windy day, although there are of course seats indoors). If you're lucky enough to catch Llandudno on a sunny day, the views from the pier are fab.


Prices in the bar are very reasonable - they also do snacks but not food (at least they didn't when I went).


Defo one to try out next time you're that way.

Llandudno Pier is quite a long pier and by the time you get to the end you are ready for a drink. There are lots of little kiosks along the way and plenty fo benches to take well earned rests as you wander down to the bar. It's open until the nd of November and then closes for the Winter. Well worth a walk down the pier, especially on a nice day so see all the views around the bay :) There is plenty of seating inside and outside and the staff in the bar are always very nice and ready to pass the time of day with visitors

Smells and looks like a real puib! It's great to have a shandy before making the trek back down the pier! Love it!

the pier is one of the nicest in britain that i have been to and ive been to quite a few, great view of the towns coast. in the evening the lights from the hotels really can shine and if the sea is calm its stunning. also a cracking view of the orme. can get windy often, but you can sit inside if thats the case. its far from the classyest pub but it does have character. its a bit of a trek down to the head of the pier, which is nice on the way there but if you are too drunk to walk far your friends will have to carry you as they dont allow taxis on the pier.

i love walking along the pier its great to find this little place at the end upon which to have a drink the pier is rather a long stretch and i think the thought of this place makes me walk quicker,luv it
