Passage House Inn

There are lots of good pubs in Topsham, this is our favourite. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere with locals at the bar. There are various areas to eat including large garden by the Exe estuary. Several beers available including Otter. Lovely good especially fish and chips. Specials are also chalked up on the walls.

This pub serves a few good ales. I enjoyed a pint of the Otter Amber, which I hadn't had before (nice but I prefer the regular 'Otter') and took in the lovely chips smell at the bar, near the more food orientated section of the bar (the drinking section was too severely congested in one area due to a television with a poor strategic location).


I didn't notice the river view as it was very late in the evening and the street is quite dark.

Picture the scene - you're with your girlfriend as she goes wandering around the shops of Topsham on a scorching summers day - you're getting weary, your losing your patience - where better to go for a refreshments?!


Sitting outside the Passage House Inn with a cold drink and some crab sandwiches looking out on the river is the perfect antidote to the above! I've not had a proper meal here, but the food looks very nice.


It's a proper Devon pub.

I like the passage inn. It is just by the boatman in Topsham so it is a good detour if you are walking the river path.


Ceilings are a bit low so watch your head. there is a good menu and it is varied.

Great location, lovely view over the estuary. Good choice of Real Ales including Otter. We had seafood cakes from an interesting menu, which were very tasty. Friendly staff and the pub had a welcoming atmosphere. We will be back.
