Seafood City Supermarket

From fresh produce to fresh seafood this place is great. They carry the basic items I need for groceries and meals. The produce and seafood section is good. Prices are okay, but just like everything else in the times.

The staff is very helpful here. Parking can be awful so bring your patience along your visit.

It's Seafood City. It has seafood, and it's inside of a city.

For those who don't know, it's a Filipino-centric Asian grocery store chain. If you need Filipino groceries, cheap meat, or obscure (non-fancy) seafood, you'll most likely find it here. The fish market is the big selling point here, and they're willing to clean or even cook your fish for you. NOTE they don't sell alcohol, so if you're looking for San Mig or Red Horse it's not here.

The employees are pleasant enough, and the store itself is pretty clean and well-stocked. It's compact inside, though. The carts barely fit in the aisles and actually cannot fit through the checkout area. Parking can be a trip, too; it's inside of a busy shopping center, and if you can walk it's a good idea to park further down past the Autozone next door. And lastly I'd come here right when they open, when everyone's still asleep and you can slip in and out with your groceries quickly.

My favorite market, great selection, I can find everything I need, staff is the best! I like going on Fridays when the fresh biko and baked goods arrive!

Cashiers and staff always friendly. Always great selection of my favorite pinoy cravings! They even fry the fish for you!

I found a plastic inside the shrimp paste. It's disgusting! I asked the cashier lady, she said they just ordered it somewhere. But how come their name was printed in the bottle?

No restroom and wait so long so it's not a place to go on line and get fish to be cleaned . NO RESTROOM so not recommended

The cashier (Tina) disregarded my request to wait on scanning while I take the groceries out of the cart. There was no one in line and seeing it wasn't busy, I requested this from her which she disregarded. She was also sarcastic with me and commented "ARE YOU NOW READY?" This is just after hearing me tell my son, the cart needs to go back where he got it from and her seeing him leave with it. Everything was in the table ready to go. The manager, Vic didn't seemed concerned and non apologetic about the situation and just told me he will speak with her later on. My time was already waisted by me having to give the employees each vegetables I found with molds. One by one as I went through the vegetable sections. To top that off, I had to deal with the employees who couldn't understand a simple instruction. There are other Filipino markets out there with far better quality on fresh goods and better customer service like Island Pacific or America Seafood Ranch Market.

If only I can give it 0 star!!! i just bought a rotten meat today and returned it after an hour i bought it coz it smells soo bad i've never got any problem here before but this cashier named Rosana L. is soo rude and stupid,she's blaming me as if it's my fault that i didn't smell the meat that i bought! she told ne to smell the meat first before buying it! isn't it their responsibility to check their product before selling it?! i told her that all the meat in the shelves are rotten already and she doesn't care at all and doesn't even apologize for what had happened..i wish they fire her out coz she's very disrepectful not only to us but to other elderly customer as well bcoz they move so slow...i hope u will do something about it!!!!!

With covid 19 at an all time high... i called to inquire the price of Live crab , the lady over the phone stated " they dont give crab price over the phone" ?!?!?
As if i were asking something illegal!

What if i had no car and needed to check the price before i got a ride??

This store is horrible and is not trying to prevent covid-19 with this attitude.
They would rather people come inside than stay safe.

Terrible service

Literally thought this was a Seafood-only City Market for the longest time, but really a fantastic place to stock up on Filipino snacks, meat, and (of course) seafood.

Here are some of my personal highlights.

MEAT
Great variety of cuts, animals, and preparations

Blood, oxtail, beef feet; frog legs; longanisa, tocino, tapa, balut

SEAFOOD
I don't know fish but there is a central line with more species than I could count at a glance. Wonder what parrotfish tastes like.

SNACKS
Salted egg chips, ramen (pancit, lomi, bulalo), frozen foods (lumpia, silapao, dinugwan), honeyed nuts

ICE CREAM
Before Salt & Straw started making fish-sauce ice cream, the FIlipino community was leading the world in creative, questionably delicious ice cream flavors. Like cashew langka, avocado, and cheese. I think they also invented the corn&cheese ice cream.

There are also some of my favorite flavors, though, like halo halo and ube.

OTHER
Sauce mixes (kare kare, pancit palabok, adobo), fruits (jackfruit, mangosteen)

GENERAL INFO
Plenty of parking in the lot. There is a large Seafood City sign so you can't miss it, or look for the KFC sign if that's more recognizable. Aladin Sweets across the street is a great Bangladesh shop if you want to continue global grocery shopping.

It's not a pristine premium grocer so set your expectations right. Similar in presentation to a smaller 99 Ranch.

Arrived right at 8am and waited about 30 minutes to get in. Not bad for COVID times.
