The Prisoner Shop these days is rather disappointing. A few years ago it was owned by a rather strange chap called Max Hora; nevertheless, the place had character, and it was packed with all kinds of Prisoner memorabilia. Max moved on, the interior was given a makeover, and now it's all rather glossy, devoid of character and rather empty-looking. The stock is spread out to make it look like there's a lot, but in reality it would probably fit on a few shelves. Indeed, most of the products in sale can be found in every other shop in the village - usually on just two or three shelves!
Still, it's worth a visit. The shop occupies the building whose exterior provided the setting for Number Six's house in the cult '60s TV series The Prisoner. Fans may feel obliged to set foot inside its hallowed walls for that reason alone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jane T.Kilmarnock, イギリス24152133892009年1月16日1番にレビュー!
I've been here several times and have bought many things as gifts and for the Prisoner-themed bathroom we used to have! There are usually books and DVDs for sale, postcards, keyrings, photographs, ornaments, rulers, paperknives, pens and calendars, to name but a few. They also sell Prisoner logo T-shirts, and jackets such as the one worn by Patrick McGoohan in the series, but they are rather pricey.
