When in Japan, no matter how good the food is, if you're American, you'll eventually start to crave some American food. I am happy to say Bubby's filled this need. The place has a New York Diner feel to it. This particular location(there are a few) is tucked away inside a building within their food court area so don't look for it to be free standing.

We ordered a burger with fries, & some fried chicken & pancakes. I'd be lying if I didn't admit the fried chicken was probably the best I'd ever had. The Burger was tender, juicy, & full of flavor. The fries were cooked just right.

We actually ate at another location but I'm going to combine the reviews for simplicity sake. We got some pulled pork & Mac N Cheese w/ Bacon. Everything was excellent! I would have preferred a sweeter sauce option as the two offered were either honey mustard or a smoked BBQ one.

I'll keep it short, if you want some good American food for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, this is your spot!
Would I eat here for a third time? Yes!

Sometimes when you're travelling (especially with young children) you want something familiar and comforting to eat. On our last full day in Tokyo, we though we'd treat the kids to pancakes at Bubby's Shiodome.

Bobby's Shiodome specializes in American/Western style food in Tokyo - burgers and fries for lunch (complete with Heinz mustard and ketchup on the tables) and pancakes, eggs, etc. for breakfast. They also have a variety of muffins, scones and American sized portions (extra large) of freshly made pies!!!

Our girls liked their pancakes topped with fresh bananas, strawberries and syrup. They even liked the vanilla ice cream served with it (???) and washed it down with a glass of cold milk.

My wife and I shared the fried chicken platter. Although the chicken wasn't authentic American fried chicken, it was still flavored nicely. The home fries and biscuits were delicious too.

We both enjoyed the scones and even bought a couple to go. We both also had to exercise extreme self control not to get the enormous slice of banana mocha pie calling from the display case up front.

Next time we're in Tokyo and craving American comfort food, we'll stop by Bubby's Shiodome again.

Very large restaurant space. Great for groups (which isn't always the case in many Tokyo eateries). Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and take out!

Was absolutely dying for an American breakfast while traveling in Japan and this was the closest I got to having the cravings satisfied! If you feel like you just need some American food, this is definitely the place to go. I went once for breakfast and once for lunch. For breakfast, the pancakes are definitely the way to go. I had the bagel and lox and the bagel was a bit of a let down, but the pancakes on the other hand were very fluffy and yum!

For lunch my friend really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. I went with the tuna melt and was surprised at how good it was. This is also a great place to grab dessert! The pies looked amazing, although I didn't try one, so I can't speak to the taste. But from seeing them in the case, they looked like they would be worth the calories!

If you're an American, order a Bubby's bacon cheese burger medium rare with extra cheddar and fries on the side and then just sit back and feel the American Burger opiates enter your bloodstream. Addiction will set in, and within a month you'll have tried half the items on the menu and will conclude, like I have, that this is the closest thing you'll find to American Diner fare in this foodie capital of the world called Tokyo.

Ate here twice during our 7 day trip to Tokyo.
The food was good but more of a selection for the breakfast menu would be greatly appreciated.
I ended up eating the same thing twice because of the limited selection. I would , however, give it another try should I return to Tokyo. Probably try the lunch or dinner menu.
The service was great and the staff was friendly!

This was a lifesaver for us after some illness took us out of commission for 24 hours on vacation. We really appreciated the flexible service and delicious scrambled eggs (our daughter was a huge fan). A little inconsistent day to day (e.g. potatoes nicely cooked one day then a bit undercooked and underseasoned the next). Great benedicts and pancakes.

Great place to get a [boozy] brunch, lunch of simply breakfast. They have all the american classics and portions are generous for Tokyo standards (some some people sharing a single dish, but every time we were there we were very hungry). We had burgers, eggs benedict, cobb salad and pancakes on seperate occassions which were all A-grade and reasonably priced. So if you're staying at one of the hotels nearby and you're tired of the buffet, this is the place to go.

P.S. The coffee is also very good and they do refills.

The sour cream pancakes were fluffy but a bit a too fluffy. I had to douse in syrup in order to chew conveniently. The eggs over medium were not seasoned very well however the smoked salmon and avocado were good. The Sausage and bacon were better. Service was amazing and make sure to get the blueberry muffin, it was absolutely delectable.

My husband and I visited when we were on the tail end of a two week vacation in Japan from the U.S. and both of us admitted we were a bit homesick, food included. Came here and got Caesar salad and a glass of white wine and it was perfect, just a bit on the expensive side for the portions!
