GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! Go here at least once!! If you are a Disney or Alice fan this is a must for you!! But not only that, it is one of the best themed restaurants I have ever experienced. Nothing comes close to it in the US so you have to visit this restaurant!

Thanks to yelp I learned it is hard to find and we did almost miss it because it is just a little sign amongst many large signs for other restaurants in the building! We couldn't make reservations because of timing and not being able to use our phones in Japan, so we went right when it opened at 4 pm for a mid-afternoon snack. We first went to the location in another area of Tokyo but they didn't open until 5 so we headed closer to our train station in Ginza and got in at 4 pm. No wait. It was awesome.

Yes, you are greeted by a guy dressed as the mad-hatter and you get a selection of rabbit ears to wear! The hallway is neatly decorated as is the main dining area. You are greeted with a warm welcome by the waitresses dressed as Alice!

I don't know why people didn't like their meals but I thought all our food selections were delish! They also bring you freshly baked bread and 2 spreads (one cheesy and one jam). We ordered wine for our mandatory one drink. We got a mango and lychee white wine and they were great, just a hint of sweet flavor but not as sweet as a dessert wine.

We ordered two side dishes: veggie spring rolls and pineapple shrimp, both a cute presentation and both flavorful.

All in all, totally worth the $50 dining experience for two and after we grabbed a little street food and we were good to go! Enjoy!!

Come here ONLY if you want the EXPERIENCE.

Did my little tourist research on some famous theme cafes and decided to give Alice a try. This place is kind of hard to find, it is in one of those big buildings with many floors, this place is on the 5th floor in central Ginza.

The decor is super nice, you do feel like you are Alice and in a wonderland and the waiters are all dressed up. The waiter comes and walks through the menu for you. Each person HAS to order ONE drink and ONE food item and in addition you pay 600 yen per a person. Not going to lie, but I thought the rules was pretty ridiculous. My family and I basically had to force ourselves to order, but then okay that's fine, but let me tell you, the food is not good...VERY disappointing. It seemed like an amateur made it, no words can describe how disappointing the food quality was.

I honestly don't recommend this place, I would try to find another theme cafe in Tokyo to try.

Food (3): The food quality was of above average cafe food. I enjoyed it. At the very least, the food was themed well.

Service (4): They promptly seated me to the table and was able to get my food to me quickly after I ordered.

Ambiance (5): Very good Alice in Wonderland theme. From the entrance to being seated at the table. The entire place is decorated. Has a nice trippy feel to it. The grand piece is in the center of the room. I would imagine you have to reserve for it, but it's basically a seating booth that is a big cup. The menu comes in from a box that unfolds itself like a puzzle which is cool. I was served by a guy dressed like the Mad Hatter. Another cool aspect is that they give you a bell to ring on when you want to order or need some help.

This is the best themed-cafe we went to in Tokyo. Everything was believable, from the decor to the costumes and even the entrance into the restaurant. This place is super easy to miss though. It's located on the 5th floor of a building, the only reason how I found it is because I read a little Japanese. Once the elevator doors open, stacks of cards will slide away to welcome you. We made reservations a day in advance to sit in the big tea cup and that was definitely worth it. But the food, even though it might look cute and fancy, was just okay to us. We ordered a bunch of food like a few of their benedicts, carbonara, pot roast, even one of their desserts but none of it stood out or was super tasty. If you're thinking of coming here, I recommend ordering something small and be on your way. Go for the experience, not the food.

Nice ambiance, but was expecting better. The carbonara pasta had virtually no flavor. Not worth it, unless you REALLY like alice in wonderland.

Good for tourists, you'll have something to remember.

Very disappointed. This was the worst themed restaurant I've been to in Japan. The food was mediocre to uneatable. We sent back the caterpillar roll because the rice was like mush (see the picture). The waitress came back and spoke completely in Japanese. They offered us something else but we had lost our appetite (it was that bad). Our table had no table cloth and had pen marks all over. They brought everyone's food out a different times. My "pizza" was really bad with very soft dough and wasn't baked long enough. They charged a cover of 600¥ per person. The 980¥ caterpillar roll was not taken off the bill even though we sent it back. Avoid avoid avoid!

This place is definitely all about the ambience. I could see how people have a hard time finding this place, as it's located on the 5th floor. We were greeted by a man dressed as the mad hatter. The entrance to the actual room was a storybook maze. It was pretty cool. And as you're getting seated you're greeted by Japanese versions of Alice!
There is a charge just to eat here. So on top of the food, you have to pay like 600 yen per person. And there's also a minimum amount you have to spend overall to eat here. We were prepared to spend a lot tho.
The menu is a pop up box. It's soooo cool.
The food was TERRIBLE. We ordered sushi and it was just plain rice and avocado. No flavor at all. However, it was designed on the plate to look like a cute caterpillar. The pizza was mediocre. Nothing special about it. Very small portions.
We also ordered the tea party dessert. They give you bunny ears to wear. The look of it was pretty. Very colorful and it was shaped like characters from Alice in Wonderland. Didn't taste good tho. I didn't finish any of my food.
Again, this place is ENTIRELY all about the ambiance and atmosphere. I would never eat here again, but I also don't regret trying it. We ended up ordering food back at our hotel. Just glad we got to experience it. It's a cute place. Took lots of nice pictures.

My wife is a big Alice in Wonderland fan, and she was very impressed with the level of detail and cuteness at the restaurant. Basically everything that can be themed is themed. It was reasonably easy to order in English compared to many other restaurants.

The food and drinks were all pretty good, but the real draw is the decor and experience.

If you order Alice's Singing mixed salad, the waitress will mix it at the table while singing a few bars of "Golden Afternoon" (the flower song) from the Disney movie. It's that level of cute.

If you click from their website onto the "menu" section and are willing to work through the Japanese site, you can make reservations with special deals and coupons. We used the site and browser translations to add the "all-you-can-drink" package (which was not on the in-store menu) for 1500 Yen per person. There's a slightly abbreviated list of cocktails, wine, and beer that qualify for the package, but it was a good selection and a good value for us. I also showed a coupon on my phone to get 1000 Yen off our total.

What a bust. There was just not much to the experience other than servers in costumes and cheap decor. The rules re: cover charge, one drink minimum, and one food item minimum per person are ridiculous and ensure that you will overpay for lackluster food/drinks and a mediocre experience. And for all that, the service wasn't even good. They were slow and at least twice we were brought drinks that had been ordered by another table. I will not recommend this place to any other visitors to Tokyo.
