If you're thinking about whether you should try this place, do it. You won't be disappointed. The meat quality is great for the price. They do have a number of side dishes to choose from, which are generally just ok. However, they have a lot of options of various vegetables, seafood balls (such as fish and calamari), and other items to add into your hotpot. They also have an awesome variety of sauces. I've been here a couple of times and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time! I will definitely be back.
This is a great date spot although not very dressy. There's also generally plenty of parking in the lot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 9618271442024年5月17日1 check-in
Came for lunch with family and it was quite empty for a weekday as expected. The food was good however I couldn't really tell what kind of cuisine it was. The bar area had Korean food, Chinese, and Japanese for shabu. Wasn't a bad combination, but it was kind of strange. Overall - food was good. ENJOY!
PS: They are real sticklers about the 90 min. Even when there is no one there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3656143882024年5月16日
We went for a dinner for two and were excited. I'm not very happy with my experience here, I hate writing bad reviews but here is my experience.
PROS:
1.) Easy Parking
2.) Lots of Seating
3.) Two Salad Bar Stations
Neutral:
1.) Taste of Food = Broth to sauces were all mediocre
2.) Frequency of Service
CONS:
1.) Service was friendly but infrequent
2.) Left my stomach in pain
3.) No gloves or scissors
If you come here, I would recommend bring gloves or scissors
I had the spicy beef broth and the miso broth. We came for dinner and we rotated through the dinner selections. If I had to chose, I preferred the chuck flap.
I will say I am biased against all you can eat but my eating companion was so excited to try this place. I am disappointed and don't plan on returning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2024年5月12日1 check-in
We had a 20 minute wait for Friday night dinner. Not bad. Gave me a chance to walk around the plaza to pass the time.
Friday dinner price is $33.99. It covers all the items on the menu (there are three items for dinner and weekend only: ribeye, chuck flat, and lamb) as well as the various stations for veggies, seafood, appetizers, dessert and drinks. I was surprised to find a variety of seafood, like shrimp, scallop, clams, and fish. They even have Korean fishcake on skewers for you to put in your hot pot. The self-serve soda fountain has Pepsi products and they also have unsweetened green and black tea.
We ordered several, several rounds of the brisket, flat iron, chuck eye steak, short plate, filet mignon, ribeye, chuck flat and lamb. The ribeye is the leanest. We ended up ordering the filet mignon, chuck flat, and ribeye the most.
For dessert, the soft serve machine offers vanilla, chocolate, or a swirl of both flavors. It was more on the icy side, so not really my jam. I actually enjoyed their sesame balls way more (at the first station on your left).
Very impressed with their variety of meats and other things you can throw in your hot pot + the included drinks and dessert for the price. They were also playing lots of kpop that night (though some songs were skipping as if they're being played on a Sony Walkman or something lol), so overall an enjoyable first visit to All That Shabu!
Plenty of parking in the plaza, though you might have to park further during prime meal time.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Matt C.ロサンゼルス, アメリカ合衆国51291072024年5月12日
Stick to kbbq. This place is dystopian af. The metal dishware adds to the feel of a post apocalyptic eatery. Where staff are miserable, rations are 3 meat plates to a table, and you have a limited time to eat. AYCE is merely a marketing term to get you through the door. In reality, you're getting paper thin, see through cuts of meat delivered with each "order".
For a table of 4, your limit is 3 plates per round. Good luck getting full on the meat. The short staff will ensure you only get about 4/5 rounds in the allotted 90 mins before you finally cave in and go for carbs such as Korean potato salad, japchae, and fried rice.
Everything is mid or below par here. The soup bases are salty and rich in msg. Lack of any true flavor, the staff comes around with carts with jugs of this mass produced hogwash to fill your pot.
The ambiance is reminiscent of a scene from the Hunger Games. Line up to get your portions of vegetables that although fresh, really try to deter you from the fact that your encounter with meat at this establishment will be fleeting.
Go ahead and skip this place.. like fastHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2024年3月3日
The restaurant was clean and fun. They had current music playing in the background.
The filet and rib eye were dry.
The brisket was probable the best beef pmeat. The short steak was super fatty. The pork belly was fatty but good. The first orders of lamb were really good. The last order tasted a bit dry. The meats were all extremely thin sliced. That was good. It made you feel like you were eating more than you were.
The soups are all tasty as they pour. The soup at the end of your meal becomes super salty. Most other shabu places give soup that are not very flavorful, so the soup at the end has flavor and is very tasty. All that Shabu has soup that already has flavor so the soup at the end is very salty.
The veggies, seafood, and fish balls are all excellent. The fried chicken was dry and not good. Everything else did not disappoint.
The best items were the crab, brisket, and the ice green tea.
HAPPY SHABUING!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - 2024年4月27日
Bad service
The middle age Korean lady would ask what meats we want and when we ordered them, she took forever and ultimately didn't give us the meat
Had to ask one of the workers in charge of cleaning to get us the meat instead even tho he isn't even a waiter. The lady also gave the check at 1 hr in without asking if we done even though we have 90 min to keep ordering but luckily I don't care too much. Meat is good but I swear she gave some of the meats wrong but it's fine. Cus I eat brisket and when I ordered brisket, that sure as hell was not brisket even though she was certain it was, check the pic.
Keep in mind, she was still on shift and tended to other tables and well. It's a Friday lunch time and only 7 tables were occupied. Place wasnt even a quarter full lmao
As for what to get if you here, Ponzu and spicy sauce is best. Appetizers are not recommended to get as expected. Flat iron steak and angus chuck eye were the fave.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2024年3月10日1 check-in
Order the original broth and spicy beef broth.
The broth was good can taste the beef flavor and the spicy was just right. The self serve bar had noodles, veggies, seafoods, meat balls, fish balls, tofu and more. There was some cooked food such as fried rice, noodles, rice cake and many more. Over all the self serve bar was clean and had lots of items to choose from. There are 10 meat selections to choose from. The meat slices are too thin. After cooking it makes the meat taste really grainy and dry, this was very disappointing. Not sure if the quality of the meat is bad or because it was so thinly sliced that affected the texture of the meat after cooking. Service was so so, didn't come and check up on us or asked if we need to order more meat. And when we finally order our meat it took them another 10-15 min before getting our order. I am not sure if I will come back again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 2024年1月23日
This AYCE shabu shabu has another location in Irvine and was introduce through coworker bday and I love it. So I took my gf here one night since I recommend it because of the Irvine location. Boy was I wrong?
Location is across the street from an late night AYCE kbbq and across from the movie theater. So naturally parking can be busy during its peak times. So park in the plaza behind it where there's a blaze pizza joint and it's like less than 3 minute walk. Inside is inviting and it's great location with all the eateries and business you can explore. You sign in side and you wait outside (there's a sign about it). Was seated right away from the host/server as soon walking in. That's a plus.
First timers: you choose your broth (can be spicy if ask) and your meat (up to 3 per round). Then head to the bar to choose your variety of vegetables and seafood. Soda is fountain. They do have ice cream dispenser. What's unique about this is that they have all the side dishes from a typical AYCE kbbbq like radishes, pickle cucumbers, huge fish cakes, potatoe salad and kimchi.
But here are the bad things:
- not attentive service: hardly see our server and had to patiently wait to ask for more meat
- Sunday said it close at 10Pm on but they start cleaning up 1 hour before and last call 30 minutes before closing. Really?
Overall, the food is good but that doesn't mean to ignore us and not give any service. The table next to us was before us and we got seated before them but they got better service than us. What the heck. I don't recommend this place and will not be coming back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 2 - 2023年12月28日
I think I found another ayce hot pot spot that I want to go to regularly. And of course I found this place via Yelp.
They have a good selection of broth to choose. I chose the spicy beef broth. It was flavorful and I didn't have to add too much to the broth unlike other places. They have a fair amount of meat selection during lunch time. We mostly ate the beef options. Meat quality was good. They have a good amount of vegetables, seafood, etc to choose from which is buffet style. I love that drinks are included in the price and its fountain drink style. Their sauce selection could be better. They do offer the basics. I wish though that the sesame oils, soy sauce, etc were located in the DIY sauce section.
Bonus: they have a self serve soft serve!! Yum!
This place is busy even on a weekday, but it's worth it.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
