Since we had just gotten into town after a long flight, we decided that we would eat dinner somewhere within the local area near our hotel. I remember from the last trip, that we took here, as there was an Italian Eatery close to the metro station that seemed pretty popular as it was very hard to get a reservation there the last time.

We checked in at the hotel and headed straight up to the restaurant to see if we could just do a walk-in and luckily because of the fact that we came sort of late after the dinner rush, they were able to seat us right away. It's a very small little restaurant and it seemed to be frequented by a mix of locals and foreigners. We ordered a margarita pizza and some pasta for our dinner and although the food was pretty good, I would have to say that it was not really the type of taste that I tend to prefer. I'm not being negative in any way about the restaurant as it is just a style of cooking that the they use and again, it seemed pretty popular with the regulars there. The pizza that we ordered was okay, but I thought it was a little heavy on the olive oil and the pasta was a little bland and it had a very strong fresh tomato taste versus the more robust and savory sauces that I am more accustomed to in the US.

A nice surprise. Was so hungry i forgot to take photos. Great authentic Neapolitan pizza. Must try the home made sausages too. Service was very fast and servers were super friendly. It lifted my mood. This is how all restaurants should be

Visited from America and wanted something besides Asian food, this spot was excellent. I have had pizza in NYC at Lombardis and this was very close. Great location by the New Sanno, friendly staff and good prices. Highly recommended.
